‘The Council of Registered Ethical Security Testers (CREST) is a not for profit organisation with the aim of providing much higher levels of professionalism within the information systems security testing community. The Council protects the interests of individual testers, furthers their careers and provides a vehicle to demonstrate their professional competence through the passing of written and practical examinations. For the wider buying community it provides an invaluable and impartial source of Certified professional testing organisations, and validation of individual testers competence. In contracting a CREST member organisation to perform a security test, a client can feel secure in the knowledge that the work will be carried out to rigorous standards by qualified and knowledgeable individuals. The Council utilised the 1st Tuesday Club as a way to formally and more widely announce the establishment Register. The quality and relevance of the individuals who attended was excellent and fully met our expectations. The smooth and professional manner in which the event was run also reflected the culture of CREST extremely well.’Presiden
1st Tuesday Club is by far the best way to meet senior Security professionals working in the City. The events are well organised, attended by the right level of delegates and very cost effective. Portcullis Security booked sponsorship of another event in December 2008.
NGS had the great pleasure of sponsoring an evening at the First Tuesday Club hosted by Iain and Belinda Sutherland. The evening was meticulously organised with many friendly hostesses mingling amongst the guests ensuring that everybody was well fed and watered. The catering was of a high standard and there was a great assortment of wines and beers. The venue was the Imperial City at the Royal Exchange which was the perfect location for many of the select attendees who work in the City area. The evening provided a great opportunity to meet with old friends and colleagues and to make new acquaintances in a friendly and informal atmosphere. My NGS colleagues and I enjoyed the evening so much that we intend to sponsor a further two events in 2008.I highly recommend the First Tuesday Club to anybody wishing to sponsor this great evening .Director
