The Role
 
We are looking for an experienced Operational Technology (OT) Security Architect to join our expanding and diverse Global Digital Security Team. The mission of our I&T Digital Security Organisation is to deliver an efficient and effective service that has scalability and flexibility to support the demands of the ever-expanding business.
 
As our Operational Technology (OT) Security Architect you will play a central part in our OT Security team that provides support to all operating businesses and assets as well as change and security initiatives across the group. You will support the Head of OT Security in delivering change and maturity improvement programmes across the DS Smith Group. You will use your experience to create OT security policies, roll-out OT transformation and governance agendas and ensure OT policy adherence; managing risks and exceptions when needed.
 
As the successful candidate you will provide direction by translating the OT change initiative vision into goals and objectives, supporting the development of detailed operational technology cyber security designs and architecture. You will use your knowledge to provide OT Security advice and guidance across a range of projects.
 
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build close working relationships are a must for this role. You will not only work closely with the internal information security team & operational technology specialists across the business you will build relationships with control & operations engineers and various other business contacts. You will also work very closely with our third-party security vendors and equipment suppliers.
 
Preferred requirements:
 
  • Experience working with Operational Technology, Industrial Controls Systems, SCADA, PLCs, etc
  • Hands on experience in IT/OT Security, Risk Management, Network Engineering, Incident Management
  • Possession of professional certifications and membership in professional associations is highly desirable (e.g., CISSP, GICSP, CISM, CIISec, IET, BCS ISO27000 certification etc)
  • Experience in working in operational, manufacturing or processing environment.
  • Working understanding in a wide range of information security technologies including network hardening, firewall optimisation, data backup and restoration, end point security, etc
  • Experience in working in a multi-functional team that works across borders
  • Educated to University degree level (or equivalent) in STEM subject
